There are many okonomiyaki restaurants in Hiroshima Station,
but they are all crowded and always many people line up in front of them.
So I recommend another choice.
It’s “Hiroshima Okonomi Monogatari” (Hiroshima Okonomiyaki Story).
There are many okonomiyaki restaurants on a floor.
The building is 3 minutes walk from Hiroshima Station.
You can understand how to go there on the video below.
You might wonder which restaurant to choose.
This time, I’ve chosen “YAKUNJA” among them, becase this restaurant is reputable on Japanese review sites.
YAKUNJA is located near an elevator.
Staff are all very friendly.
Off course, its okonomiyaki tastes NICE!
Very rich in garlic flavor.
Thin noodles and fresh cabbage have good chemistry.
This might be best Hiroshima Yaki.
Anyway, it’s much better than MITCHAN.
By the way, at any Okonomiyaki restaurants in Hirosima,
probably you are asked by stuff to use “Teppan” or “Osara” just before eating.
If you answer “Teppan”(Iron plate), staff give you Hera (kind of spatula) to eat.
In this case, you eat Okonomiyaki with the Hera directly from Teppan.
If you answer “Osara”, staff put your Okonomiyaki in a dish.
In this case, you need to use chopsticks to eat.
So, if you can’t use chopsticks, you’d better choose “Teppan”.
This might be most important to enjoy Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki.
Here is the video showing how to cut Okonomiyaki with Hera.
