If you get off a bullet train (Shinkansen) at Hiroshima Station, you may wonder where to go.
Especially, if you’re going to the Peace Memorial Park or Miyajima,
you may want to know the shortcut.
Acutually, you have 2 ways to get out from the platform.
If you go to the Peace Memorial Park or the Atomic Bomb Dome (Genbaku Dome) or Miyajima,
you should choose “JR Lines Transfer Gate”.
This is directly connected to an exit of “South Gate” where you can take a tram (streetcar) to go the Park and the Dome.
If you want to go to souvenir shops or restaurants in Hiroshima Station,
choose an exit of “Shinkansen Gate”.
It’s directly connected to a shopping center inside the station.
If you don’t have enough time to stay in the station,
you can buy souvenirs and foods at some shops before going through the gates.
Besides, there are some restaurants along a passage from the “JR Lines Transfer Gate” to “South Gate”.
If You are not familiar with Japanese food, eating at these restaurants may be a good idea.
There is Seven Eleven along the passage.
You can buy some drink, candy or daily necessities here.
To arrive at platform of tram (streetcar),
I’ve uploaded video so please view this.
You need only 160 yen from Hiroshima station to “Kamiyacho Nishi” (near the Atomic bomb dome and the Memorial Park).
