Radiation Level at Ground Zero in Hiroshima, Japan, 2016

Hypocenter (Ground Zero)
I posted “Measuring Radiation today at the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima” last year (2015), and many people has visited and read it.

So this time I’ve checked radiation level at Hypocenter (Ground Zero) and other places in Hiroshima city.

Before showing the results, I’d like to tell you “average value”.

The average value of Radiation in the world is “2.4 μSV/year” (2.4microsievert per year).
This is equivalent to “0.264 μSV/h” (0.264 microsievert per hour).

The average value of Radiation in Japan is “1.5 μSV/year”.
This is equivalent to “0.165 μSV/h” (0.165 microsievert per hour).

Surprisingly, the radiation level of Japan is lower than the world!

Then, I’ll show the results below.

radiation hiroshima 2016 ground zero
At “Hypocenter (Ground Zero)”.
0.14 μSV/h” ( microsievert per hour).

radiation hiroshima 2016 Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims
At “Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims”.
0.08 μSV/h” ( microsievert per hour).

radiation hiroshima 2016 animate
In front of “Animate Hiroshima”.
0. 08 μSV/h” ( microsievert per hour).

radiation hiroshima 2016 sogo
In front of “SOGO Hiroshima”.
0.12 μSV/h” ( microsievert per hour).

All value of the results are lower than the average value of Japan and the world!

So I’m sure that Hiroshima city is NOT radioactive and very safe for everyone.
